PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Mercyhealth is seeking a PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatrics/Newborn Care team in Janesville, Wisconsin. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality care to healthy newborns while collaborating closely with pediatricians, obstetric providers, nursing staff, and hospital leadership in a family‑centered environment.

• Provide direct patient care to newborns, including history taking, physical examinations, and care planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in neonatal stabilization during deliveries and assist with acute newborn emergencies.
• Document patient encounters and care plans accurately in the EPIC EMR.
• Communicate effectively with families, medical teams, and hospital leadership to ensure consistent, high‑standard care.

• Graduate of an accredited Neonatal NP program.
• National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP‑BC).
• Active state APRN license.
• Active state DEA license or eligibility.
• Active BLS and NRP certifications or eligibility.

• Experience in a nursery, NICU, or neonatal practice.
• Experience attending deliveries and performing neonatal stabilization.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills.
