Position: PRN 2 – Women’s Services
WAC-Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville, WI
Job SummaryManages women's services activities, workflow and nursing resources.
Responsibilities- Collects and analyzes health data to develop and implement individualized plans of care for women and newborns.
- Coordinates care delivery to promote woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care within scope of practice.
- Employs health teaching strategies that promote, maintain or restore health.
- Evaluates progress toward expected outcomes in a family-centered context.
- Gives ethical decision‑making guidance for women, fetuses, and newborns.
- Demonstrates cultural diversity and inclusion principles when caring for patients.
- Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, providers, and community.
- Serves as role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor to patients and staff.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge and competencies reflecting current evidence‑based nursing practice.
- Integrates evidence to identify, examine, validate, and evaluate interprofessional knowledge and approaches.
- Implements new measures to improve nursing practice quality when indicated.
- Participates in evaluation of own practice and others' relative to standards and guidelines.
- Considers safety, effectiveness, technology, and fiscal responsibility when planning and delivering care.
- Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
- Applies evidence-based practice for women's services nursing, ensuring care based on age‑specific needs.
- Maintains constant alertness and safe practice.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of accredited nursing school or education equivalency for licensing.
- No prior experience required.
- One year of prior experience in Labor & Delivery highly preferred; ICU backgrounds considered.
- Constant use of speech for oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects 0‑25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use.
- Frequent vision and depth perception for distances ≤20 inches or ≥20 feet; color discrimination.
- Frequent hearing for alarms and sounds.
- Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 25‑50 lbs. and patient movement.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional driving; rare crawling and running.

Illinois – Basic Life Support (BLS HCP), Registered Professional Nurse (RN), Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or NRP Essentials. - State of

Missouri – BLS HCP, RN (Compact or state‑issued), ALS or NRP or PALS or NRP Essentials. - State of
Work Location:
Oklahoma – BLS HCP, RN (Compact or state‑issued), ALS or NRP or PALS or NRP Essentials. - State of

Wisconsin – BLS HCP, RN (Compact or state‑issued), ALS or NRP or PALS or NRP Essentials.
PRN / Per Diem; variable nights (7:00pm–7:00am) with 24‑hour weekend coverage per 4‑week period.
