Job Highlights:
- Float Pool – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday rotation.
- Floats to multiple departments including Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and the Family Birth unit.
- 1‑2 years of RN experience in a critical care environment (Emergency, ICU, PACU) highly preferred; ultrasound IV training history is a plus.

Job Summary:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Use standards of medical‑surgical nursing practice to improve quality of care and life for patients, families, and significant others.
- Establish effective relationships and serve as an advocate, facilitating the development of individualized care plans.
- Apply the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop assessment and management strategies considering physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with patients, families, and the interprofessional team to set goals and evaluate outcomes.
- Obtain informed consent, educate patients, families, and others on health-promoting measures.
- Mentor and role‑model nursing staff, students, and others.
- Apply evidence‑based practice in patient care.
- Perform self‑testing and mandatory mandatory mandard mandate mandatory mandatory (point of care testing).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing.
- Minimum one year RN experience (Ministry Float) or two years RN experience (Regional Float).
- Physical requirements:
constant use of speech, standing, walking, lifting 0‑25 lbs frequently, occasional lifting 25‑50 lbs, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, occasional driving, and rare crawling and running.
- Illinois:
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) & Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA) - Missouri:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Missouri Division of Professional Registration or RN issued by Compact State;
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA) - Oklahoma:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN);
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA) - Wisconsin:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or RN issued by Compact State;
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)
