About the Role

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of an RN at Open Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC). The LVN plays an essential role in delivering high‑quality patient care and ensuring access through visits that follow established protocols, transitioning care to an RN or provider when needed. Within the Care Team, the LVN serves as the point person for daily functions under the direction of an RN or medical provider.

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Use protocols to conduct visits and transition care to an RN or provider when necessary.
• Act as the point person for daily functions under the direction of an RN or medical provider.
• Demonstrate proficiency in LVN tasks and the scope of practice as determined by the California Board of Vocational Nursing.

• California LVN license required; prior experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Hourly wage scale:
  • LVN I – $31.00 to $35.84
  • LVN II – $34.00 to $39.32
• Bilingual Hmong or Spanish speakers who pass a language exam will receive an additional $0.75 per hour.
