Travel Med-Surg Ortho​/Neuro RN

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Janesville, Wisconsin. This 13‑week assignment requires 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination and treatment.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift up to 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

• BLS certification, NIH, 1 year.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
