Position: Biolife - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the Role

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) you will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will support the day‑to‑day operations of a plasma donation center, ensuring donor safety and adherence to industry regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility, including consenting, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
  • Manage donor adverse events, evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, and initiate appropriate medical emergencies protocols.
  • Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test outcomes.
  • Refer medical or technical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation via occupational health/ER pathways.
  • Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of local pandemic threats.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or graduate‑equivalent from a recognized nursing program with state licensing requirements.
  • Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • State licensure in basic IV therapy.
  • Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialists.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage range of $24.32 – $33.44, with potential short‑term incentives for U.S. based employees. Employees accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation and 80 hours of sick time per calendar year.
