** OVERVIEW
* * As a Clinical Certified Nursing Assistant, you’ll play a vital role on the front lines of patient care, providing hands-on support that directly impacts comfort, safety, and recovery. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working alongside a skilled clinical team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
** Schedule**: 30 hours per week
** Shift**:
Nights
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
* Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
* Documents care provided according to standards.
* Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
* Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
* Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
* Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
* Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator
* Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel
* Bladder scanning procedure reviewed
* Bladder scanner training complete (check off sheet for competency)
* Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor
* Managing and reporting collection devices:
* Colostomy, ileostomy or other fecal management systems: care and output measures
* Indwelling catheters: care and output measures
* Nasogastric tubes to suction
* Surgical drains under direction of supervising RN
* Competent in completing vital signs:
Manual process for blood pressure and required reporting of abnormal values to supervising RN
* Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the supervising RN:
* Indwelling (Foley) catheters
* Nasogastric tubes
* Peripherally inserted intravenous catheters
* Similar devices as appropriate
** EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
** Completion of a CNA program.
** CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
** Current CNA certificate in applicable state.

Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
