Overview
Northwoods Animal Hospital aims to provide sound advice and optimal veterinary care. We offer a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and external laboratories. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house X-ray capabilities, ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas and grooming services.
Position PurposeExtern with us. Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them be 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Program DetailsExternships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/QualificationsEligibility
- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
