Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs at all Blain's Farm & Fleet properties. This includes conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing facility-related issues to ensure the proper functioning of building systems. The role also involves participating in store and lot fixture resets, ensuring that all fixtures are properly installed, adjusted, and maintained according to company standards.

The Maintenance Technician works closely with other facility and store teams to maintain a safe and efficient environment for both customers and employees.

  • Assist in maintenance on HVAC at Corporate and store level
  • Refrigerator and Freezer PM's at store level
  • Recycling and trash removal at Corporate office
  • Installing door sweeps and seals of all types
  • Repair/Replace racking uprights, beams, pins, etc
  • Perform everyday plumbing repairs at Blain facilities
  • General handyman type repairs at stores
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures
  • Assemble and set store and lot fixtures and racking
  • Perform work at many different heights
  • This role includes travel to stores and facilities as needed with some overnight travel

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years general handy man maintenance work preferred
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance practices, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with facility repair procedures, tools, and safety protocols.
  • Understanding of store and lot fixture installation and resetting procedures.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance practices.
