The Role

As a Part‑Time Youth Mentor, you’ll play a key role in our youth services program, supporting youth with disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Every day will be different, making this a fun and fulfilling opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact.

Schedule and Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $16.35/hour
  • Hours:

    10-20 hours per week
  • After-school programming: 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Summer programming: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Monday‑Friday)
  • Flexibility:
    Scheduling tailored to your availability
What You’ll Do
  • Provide support to youth participants with disabilities.
  • Assist during after‑school hours (2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.) and adjust to summer schedules (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
  • Work collaboratively with the Aptiv team to help youth develop independence, social, and life skills.
  • Mentor participants one‑on‑one and in small group settings.
  • Teach emotional regulation, coping, and anger management strategies.
  • Maintain consistency, strong communication, and accurate, up‑to‑date documentation.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Meet the State of Wisconsin’s minimum auto insurance requirements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including occasional weekend availability.
