Overview

We are looking for a motivated entry-level Trucking Dispatcher who will oversee the scheduling and dispatching of our fleet of trucks alongside another Dispatcher. In this position, you will work closely with drivers, customers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, monitor driver performance, and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process.

• Coordinate and schedule the delivery of goods and materials to customers
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes
• Plan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during shipments
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to shipments
• Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Provide after-hours assistance to drivers on a rotating on-call night and weekend schedule

This is an in-office position. Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Our office is located at: 3919 Whitney Street Janesville, WI 53546

Starting wage: $20/hr with performance-based wage increasement opportunities.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience dispatching trucks is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
• Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions
• Knowledge of geography and routes
