The Tow Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role located in Janesville, WI. This role involves safely operating tow trucks to perform light-duty towing, vehicle transport, and roadside assistance such as jump-starts, lockouts, and tire changes. Daily responsibilities include responding to service calls, assessing situations on-site, securing vehicles for towing, and transporting them to designated locations or the company’s repair shop.
The driver will interact with customers, provide clear communication about services, and complete basic service documentation and reports. The role may also include assisting with vehicle movement in the repair shop and supporting team members during busy periods, while following all safety and traffic regulations. This is Monday thru Friday with on-call 2 nights a week and alternating weekends
- Truck Driving and safe operation of tow trucks, with knowledge of vehicle loading and securing.
- Experience with TOW operations and roadside assistance, including basic on-road troubleshooting.
- Strong Communication skills to interact professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or relevant endorsements are a plus.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic mechanical understanding of cars and light trucks; prior repair shop or automotive experience is beneficial.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
