Accounts Payable Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing of all FFWs Accounts Payable, including matching, verifying, and processing inventory-related invoices with respective purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Prepare and send ACH and check payments to vendors weekly per company policy terms.
• Prepare wire forms for payment with appropriate signatures and bank entry.
• Maintain vendor files and information according to Marmon’s Standard Practices Instructions.
• Manage Doc Link (electronic paperless approval program/software) integrated with our ERP program.
• Handle fixed asset management, vendor compliance procedures, and risk intermediaries to Marmon Compliance Journal entries for prepaid expenses, AP estimates and accruals.
• Resolve issues related to financial data and critical problems promptly with minimal guidance.
• Assist with centralization and processing accounts payable, vendor compliance and ACH remittance for both the US and the UK locations.
• Assist with month‑end closing procedures in compliance with company policies and accounting standards under US GAAP.
• Maintain integrity of general ledger and perform monthly reviews and reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts within Onestream.
• Support ERP implementation.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for review and approval.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (BA/BS) from a 4‑year college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience in managing vendor files, ACH remittances, and AP close processes.
• Ability to solve problems through individual analytical skills.
• Self‑starter who can work with little direction from management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret instructions and ask clarifying questions.
