A Training Developer/Instructor is responsible for creating, designing, and delivering training programs and materials to educate employees or learners on specific topics or skills. This role involves assessing training needs, developing instructional content, and facilitating training sessions to ensure effective learning and development.
Responsibilities- Training Needs Analysis:
Collaborate with department managers and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives. - Curriculum Development:
Create comprehensive training curricula and instructional materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and assessments. - Content Creation:
Develop engaging and informative content that aligns with learning objectives and meets the needs of the target audience. - Instructional Design:
Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging training materials, ensuring they are clear, concise, and learner friendly. - Training Delivery:
Facilitate training sessions using a variety of methods, such as in‑person instruction, virtual classrooms, e‑learning platforms, or on‑the‑job training. - Assessment and Evaluation:
Develop and administer assessments and evaluations to measure learner comprehension and training program effectiveness. - Feedback Integration:
Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods. - Technology Integration:
Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and e‑learning tools to deliver and track training progress. - Customization:
Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs and skill levels of different audiences. - Compliance:
Ensure that training materials and programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. - Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and report on the progress and performance of learners, making adjustments to training content as needed. - Resource Management:
Manage training resources, including equipment, materials, and training schedules. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessment results. - Communication:
Effectively communicate training schedules, requirements, and updates to participants and stakeholders.
- Education:
A bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, human resources, or a related field is typically preferred. - Instructional Design:
Previous experience in instructional design and curriculum development is valuable. - Subject Matter Expertise:
Knowledge and expertise in the subject matter being taught, whether technical, soft skills, or specific industry-related content. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering training and creating instructional materials. - Technology Proficiency:
Familiarity with e‑learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia software. - Adaptability:
Ability to adapt training methods and materials to various learning styles and preferences. - Problem Solving:
Strong problem‑solving skills to address learner challenges and optimize training content. - Interpersonal
