The Training Developer/Instructor 1 (TDI1) is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that support employee learning and professional development. This role plays a critical part in ensuring workforce readiness by assessing training needs, creating instructional materials, and facilitating engaging training sessions aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is an experienced instructional designer and facilitator who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders, tailor content for diverse audiences, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Training Needs Analysis- Partner with department managers and stakeholders to identify training needs, objectives, and performance gaps.
- Participate in agency requirements discussions to ensure alignment with assignment expectations.
- Design and develop comprehensive training curricula, including:
- Instructor-led presentations
- Training manuals and job aids
- E-learning modules
- Assessments and evaluation tools
- Apply instructional design best practices to ensure content is clear, engaging, and learner-centered.
- Customize training programs to meet the needs of varied skill levels and audiences.
- Develop engaging, accurate, and informative instructional materials aligned with learning objectives.
- Ensure materials comply with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Facilitate training sessions using multiple delivery methods, including:
- In-person classroom instruction
- Virtual classroom environments
- E-learning platforms
- On-the-job training
- Travel as required to support training delivery (excluding commute).
- Create and administer assessments to measure learner comprehension and skill acquisition.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on data and feedback.
- Monitor learner progress and performance, adjusting content as needed.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools to:
- Deliver training
- Track participation and progress
- Maintain records
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, assessments, and outcomes.
- Communicate training schedules, updates, and requirements to stakeholders and participants.
- Provide performance and progress reports as required.
- Manage training schedules, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure efficient use of resources to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
- Strong subject matter expertise relevant to the training environment (technical, soft skills, or industry-specific content).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning authoring tools, and multimedia software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and adaptability to different learning styles.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple training projects and meet deadlines.
