The Retreat at Jasper is seeking Housekeepers to join their team! The Housekeeper is responsible for performing all housekeeping activities such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, shampooing carpets, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning counters, taking out the trash and cleaning windows. Responsibilities include restocking common area bistros and bathrooms, resident rooms and bathrooms with the appropriate paper products and hand soap.

• Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean common area and resident rooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, including moving furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Adjust heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Gather and empty trash and remove debris from outdoor areas.
• Ensure all bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and liquid soap.
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
• Ensure suites with two residents are cleaned twice a week.
• Notify supervisor via maintenance log and housekeeping checklist of needed major repairs or additions.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Work experience:
  
  1 year of job-related experience.
• Understanding of infection control procedures.
• Ability to multitask and manage stress.
• Embraces assisted living philosophy.
• Availability for weekends, evenings, and flexible hours during peak service delivery.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
