VUJ STEM Academy chaperones work in partnership with the camp Coordinators and VU faculty to ensure campers have a positive experience perones will also be responsible for the safety and well-being of campers in day-to-day operations of camp.
Responsibilities- Chaperone in partnership with camp Coordinators and VU faculty to support campers
- Ensure campers have a positive experience and maintain safety during day-to-day camp operations
- Must be at least 18 years old and have completed one year of college by the beginning of camp.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Available to be present for the entirety of camp.
- Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
- Previous experience working with near-peers preferred.
