QE Solar is seeking Solar Vegetation Technicians to support vegetation management across utility-scale solar sites throughout the Midwest. This is a seasonal, field-based role (May–October 2026) with the potential for long‑term opportunities based on performance and business needs. Technicians will perform vegetation control activities including mowing and trimming around solar arrays while ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality work. This role requires individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, operating equipment, and functioning both independently and within a crew environment.

• 85% – Vegetation Management (Mowing & Trimming)
• Operate commercial riding mowers and zero‑turn mowers within solar arrays and open areas
• Perform string trimming around solar equipment, fencing, and tight access areas
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to protect solar infrastructure and ensure safety
• 10% – Equipment Maintenance & Reporting
• Perform daily inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of equipment
• Identify repair needs and communicate issues to supervisors
• Track work progress and report field conditions, issues, and safety concerns
• 5% – Training, Meetings & Miscellaneous Tasks
• Participate in safety meetings, trainings, and operational briefings
• Support additional field tasks as assigned

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable operating in outdoor environments and changing weather conditions
• Ability to read maps, aerial imagery, and use GPS tools
• Awareness of safety practices and hazard identification
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt daily work tasks

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor conditions (heat, sun, rain)
• Conversational English required
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within 14 days of hire (company‑supported)

• Experience operating commercial mowing equipment (zero‑turn, riding mowers)
• Experience with equipment maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with vegetation management, plant identification, or land management practices
