Trust Compliance Specialist

Position: TRUST COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

REPORTS TO:

Financial Advisory Group Operations Manager

SUPERVISES:
No supervisory responsibility

SUMMARY:

Assists in assuring compliance with all department policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.

MAJOR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintains current understanding of regulations as they relate to fiduciary and compliance issues and educates the department regarding the same.

* Performs administrative reviews of accounts.

* Ensures accuracy of IRA disbursements, including required minimum distributions.

* Assists examiners and auditors and follows-up with recommendations.

* Reconciles general ledger and internal operating accounts.

* Analyzes and interprets a wide variety of transactions and identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

* Recommends procedural and policy changes and assists with revising procedures and policies.

* Research special items and completes special projects as needed.

* Handles and answers customer inquiries in accordance with Brand Standards.

* Back-up operations duties as needed.

* Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

* Assists in oversight of Financial Advisory Group operations staff to help ensure accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or 4 years of financial/accounting related work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Knowledge of accounting principles, as well as analytical, verbal, mathematical and written communication skills

* Fluency in computer applications such as accounting software and Microsoft Office Programs
