ITD – CNC Machinist
Job Overview: CNC Machinists are skilled in setup, programming, and operation of CNC machine tools, including fixture placement and tooling processes. They read and understand blueprints, sketches and samples to accurately machine parts to customer specifications. The role includes operating mills and lathes, using precision measuring equipment, lubricating, cleaning, and maintaining the work area.
Responsibilities- Set up and program CNC machine tools (lathe or mill).
- Establish machining operations and select materials for production.
- Operate mill or lathe controls and remove material according to specifications.
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and t‑gauges.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
- Use hoist to install vises, jigs, fixtures, and heavy work pieces.
- Proficiency with CNC programming languages.
- Experience with CAD drawings and ability to sketch a part.
- Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
- Ability to use handheld tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measure, micrometers, calipers).
- Knowledge of different metals and materials.
- Prior lathe or milling experience preferred.
- Physical abilities: lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50lbs; stand or walk entire shift (8–10hr).
- Continuous standing and walking; occasional sitting, stooping, reaching overhead.
- Will working Monday‑Friday 6:30am‑3:00pm with overtime available.
Starting at $22.00 per hour, increases based on experience. Salary reviews within first two years.
