Bakery - Buehler's North Park - Evansville

FT Bread Baker

The Central Bakery department bakes, prepares and delivers products to numerous other IGA and Buehler's stores in SW Indiana.

They are currently looking for a full-time bread baker and another part-time person to work doing production in this area. In addition, they are looking for a part-time delivery driver. Must have a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities (baker)

• Food Preparation:
  Measuring ingredients, kneading dough, setting oven controls, and monitoring baking times based on standardized recipes.
• Finishing & Presentation:
  Decorating pastries and cakes, icing, glazing, and arranging items neatly in display cases.
• Customer Service:
  Greeting customers, answering product questions, taking custom orders, and suggestive selling.
• Sanitation & Compliance:
  Cleaning work areas, sanitizing equipment, and adhering to strict health, food safety, and OSHA regulations.
• Inventory Management:
  Rotating stock, packing fresh-baked goods, pricing items, and managing raw ingredient supplies.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

• Physical Capability:
  Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend and stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Schedule Flexibility:
  Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is often required due to production demands.
• Skills:
  
  Strong basic math skills for recipe scaling, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of kitchen safety procedures.
