Job Overview
As a PCT in the SDCC/Procedure Unit, you'll support nurses in caring for patients before and after surgical and diagnostic procedures. You'll assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, documentation, and provide calm, compassionate support as patients prepare for or recover from procedures. Your steady presence and attention to detail help ensure patients receive safe, high‑quality care in a fast‑moving, team‑centered environment.
WhatYou'll Gain
Working in the SDCC/Procedure Unit gives you hands‑on experience with pre‑op and post‑op care, patient preparation, recovery monitoring, and supporting patients undergoing a wide range of procedures. WhatYou'll Do
- Assist with bathing, oral care, toileting, and linens
- Support safe mobility, repositioning, and transfers
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Document patient information accurately
- This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
- Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of required PCT classes for the unit
