2nd Shift Part-Time Security Guard

Job Overview

2nd Shift Part‑Time Security Guard responsible for monitoring the fire control panel, water meter levels, emergency situations, surveillance cameras, parking lots, facility maintenance, door control, property tracking, severe weather, emergency procedures, and confidentiality. Works night shift, weekends, and holidays.

Saturday and Sunday: 3pm – 11pm. Other shifts may include coverage on Mon‑Fri 3pm‑11pm and Sun‑Thu 11pm‑7am.

• Patrol premises to prevent and detect intrusion and ensure security of doors and windows.
• Respond to and investigate alarms, disturbances, incidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and vendors to prevent shrinkage and maintain accountability.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports for equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, safety hazards, unsafe behavior, or unusual occurrences.
• Notify police, fire department, or EMS in emergency situations (e.g., fire, intrusion, injury).
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled patrols to detect leaks, safety hazards, fire watch, equipment issues, and maintain cleanliness of work areas and restrooms.
• Monitor and review surveillance video for incidents, unauthorized personnel, or entry, including video review during holidays and weekends.
• Comply with monthly safety/security training requirements.
• Monitor phones for emergency calls, relay messages, answer questions, and provide information during non‑business hours.
• Monitor weather conditions and report severe weather to all personnel and visitors.
• Manage and secure keys, sign out keys, and lock/unlock doors as needed.
• Escort or detain unauthorized personnel or trespassers.
• Notify management of events such as intrusions, fire incidents, alarms, severe weather, or other urgent matters during non‑operational hours.

• Preferred computer skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move up to 50lb.
• Must stand or walk for the entire shift (approximately 8–10hours).
• Physical requirements:

• Ability to keep security‑related information confidential.
• Availability to work night shift, weekends, and holidays.
