Technician/Machine Operator

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an onsite Technician/Machine Operator for our Pennsylvania recycling operation.

Pay rate: $19.00/hr plus a $3.00 shift differential.

Schedule:

Saturday/Sunday 6:00 am – 3:00 pm;
Monday‑Wednesday 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm.

This position offers an opportunity to earn an additional $2.00 an hour within your first year of employment through our structured tier advancement program.

• Ability to learn to operate, maintain and set up different types of shredding, grinding and cleaning machines.
• Resolve issues related to day‑to‑day operations and maintenance.
• Calibrate probes and monitor pH of processed waste.
• Read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Clear jams and clean the machine daily in conjunction with the maintenance department.
• Monitor machine performance/condition and notify maintenance of any issues.
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices.
• Respect and build working relationships with co‑workers.
• Demonstrate the ability to be creative and solve unique problems.
• Perform regular/daily cleaning of work area and tools.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate large precision shop machinery.
• Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement.
• Articulate problems and solutions clearly.
• Sense of urgency and personal initiative for problem resolution with follow‑through and professionalism.
• Self‑motivated and capable of managing stressful situations.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
• Open to learning by adapting to new processes, incorporating constructive feedback, and taking initiative to develop skills and expertise.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Consent to motor vehicle record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC). Random drug screening will be required after employment.
• Role considered safety sensitive.
• Reliable transportation.
• Eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous forklift experience.

• Manufacturing environment with mandatory hearing protection, safety glasses and steel‑toed boots.
• Large facility (~100,000 sq ft) covering extensive ground area.
• Seasonal variation in temperature and weather conditions.
• Frequent radio communication with operators and managers.
• Teamwork‑centered atmosphere with over 100 employees.
