Job Title: Demand Planning Assistant Manager

Department: Supply Chain

Job Summary

The Demand Planning Section Head is responsible for owning demand forecasting and market intelligence across all regions. This role translates commercial strategies, product launches, promotions, and market dynamics into an unbiased, data-driven demand plan to enable optimal supply, inventory management, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Responsibilities
  • Establish and govern the demand planning framework across markets and channels.
  • Drive forecast accuracy, reduce bias, and enhance planning discipline.
  • Act as the business owner of demand inputs within the S&OP cycle.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Develop SKU-level forecasts by market using statistical models and market intelligence.
  • Integrate product launches, promotions, tender pipelines, and lifecycle management into demand plans.
  • Conduct scenario planning and demand risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Commercial teams to validate assumptions and demand phasing.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and demand volatility metrics.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Lead demand planning process development and performance management.
  • Prepare executive demand reviews and KPI dashboards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of demand planning activities.
Job Requirements Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in demand planning and forecasting.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong supply chain and industry knowledge.
  • Expertise in production planning and forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong statistical and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Materials management knowledge.
  • Reporting and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and team motivation capability.
  • Cost consciousness and results orientation.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
