Content Creator, Digital Media ​/ Production

Art Jameel is dedicated to supporting artists and creative communities across the Middle East and beyond. Central to our mission is building and maintaining a dynamic, high-quality visual library that documents our programmes, exhibitions, spaces and the artists and communities we serve. We are seeking a creative, organised and technically skilled Content Creator focused on videography and photography to enrich and expand Art Jameel's visual archive while supporting storytelling across our digital platforms, publications and campaigns.

The content creator is responsible for supporting the upcoming Hayy Makers space in managing the Photography Studio. This role is ideal for someone proactive and passionate about the arts, with a keen eye for narrative and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of image-making.

Accountability: Senior Manager Marketing

The Content Creator will play a key role in delivering high-quality visual content across Hayy Jameel and Hayy Makers. The role focuses on photography, videography, short-form video, and You Tube content, supporting marketing, communications, and programme needs while also contributing to the operation of the Hayy Makers Photography Studio.

This role works closely with the Marketing, Communications, Programmes, and Makers teams to document events, exhibitions, public programmes, and creative processes-ensuring content is aligned with Art Jameel's brand, storytelling, and audience engagement goals.

• Produce high-quality photography and videography documenting Art Jameel's programmes, exhibitions, public events, spaces, and behind-the-scenes activities.
• Support full content coverage for Hayy Jameel events, including short-form video, long-form video, and You Tube content.
• Capture and deliver visual content for social media, website, press releases, publications, and internal documentation.
• Support live documentation of events when required, including live performances, talks, workshops, and livestream setups.
• Liaise with artists, collaborators, and participants to secure permissions and ensure sensitivity to artistic practices and audience privacy.

• Edit and deliver photo and video assets promptly to meet marketing and communications timelines.
• Create engaging short-form video content optimised for platforms such as Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, and You Tube Shorts, while maintaining Art Jameel's tone and visual identity.
• Support You Tube content production, including filming, basic editing, and asset preparation.

• Manage and organise the visual content library, ensuring systematic filing, tagging, captioning, and archiving.
• Support the development of clear filing structures and process guidelines to ensure easy team access and long-term preservation of assets.
• Assist in scheduling and setting up equipment for the Hayy Makers Photography Studio.
• Provide basic technical support for lighting, cameras, and studio equipment.
• Ensure the Photography Studio is organised, functional, and well-maintained.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of photography and videography equipment.
• Coordinate basic maintenance or repairs when needed.
• Support artists, members, and users of the Photography Studio by providing guidance or basic training where required.
• Provide general support to the Hayy Makers team when needed.

• Build and maintain a network of freelance photographers and videographers.
• Support administrative processes related to onboarding, briefing, and coordinating freelancers, ensuring alignment with Art Jameel's standards and workflows.

• Bachelor's Degree in visual communications, filmmaking or related fields
• Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably within arts, culture, events, or creative sectors.
• Strong editing skills for photo and video content with Full proficiency in Adobe's Creative Suite and graphic design skills is a plus
• Experience creating content for social media platforms and You Tube.
• Understanding of visual storytelling and brand alignment.
• Comfortable working in live event environments and fast-paced schedules.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
