Overview

The Assistant Director of Finance at Delta Hotels by Marriott Jeddah Al Salam oversees day-to-day execution of general ledger processes and provides financial and accounting support across hotel operations within a hospitality environment. Marriott International operates a global portfolio of hotels and hospitality brands, and this role supports the financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance of property-level accounting functions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage core accounting operations including account balancing, ledger reconciliation, financial reporting, and discrepancy resolution to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise finance and accounting team members responsible for general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and related financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting SOPs, federal and state fraud and collection regulations, and internal financial governance requirements.
  • Generate and deliver timely financial reports, analyze financial data, and evaluate outcomes to support decision-making and problem-solving within the finance function.
  • Manage profit and loss documentation, tax monitoring, and ensure all financial obligations are accurately recorded and up to date.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard organizational assets and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Support development of accounting staff through mentoring, training, and coaching, particularly in accounts receivable and posting techniques.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide financial guidance, enforce budgeting policies, and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
  • Use accounting systems and software tools to process financial data, maintain records, and generate insights, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Support executive leadership with timely financial information, resolve accounting discrepancies, and apply structured problem-solving methodologies to financial decision-making processes in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
