Vice President Finance Job Jeddah area,Saudi Arabia,Finance & Banking

Jazeera Airways is seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Vice President – Finance to lead the Finance function for its new venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. VP-Finance will be responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, optimizing cost structures, managing liquidity, and supporting commercial decision-making. The role continuously monitors airline’s performance, analyzes and reports it to the CEO, Board and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

A) Strategy

Responsible for developing and executing the financial strategy in accordance with the corporate strategy and long-term growth objectives with emphasis on bottom-line performance, working capital optimization, and shareholder value enhancement.

Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team

Support the Commercial function in evaluating of new market opportunities, partnerships, and investments to drive profitability.

Align charter revenue streams with overall network strategy.

B) Financial Stewardship

Monitor corporate performance against defined parameters and present periodic reports to stakeholders.

Ensure robust financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

Oversee cost structures including fuel, maintenance, crew and airport charges.

Implement cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety or compliances.

Benchmark against industry standards and identify efficiency improvements.

Develop financial models and pricing strategies for charter operations.

Ensure profitability and risk management for ad-hoc and contract charters.

C) Treasury & Capital Management

Manage the Airline’s financing requirements including the non-fund-based facilities.

Ensure effective cash flow management and liquidity planning.

Responsible for structuring, negotiating and finalizing purchase agreements.

Manage relationships with banks, lessors, investors and financial institutions.

D) Financial Reporting and Governance

Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, investor reports and statutory books of account.

Maintain compliance with IFRS and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Oversee internal control frameworks, risk management frameworks, internal audit, regulatory compliance and external audit processes..

E) Risk Management

Develop and implement a financial risk management policy.

Oversee enterprise financial risk management, including exposure to Fuel price volatility, Foreign exchange risk, Interest rate risk.

Ensure appropriate governance and oversight of hedging strategies where applicable.

F) Leadership

Lead, develop, and succession-plan a high-performing Finance function, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Establish clear goals, provide regular performance feedback, and ensure alignment with the airline’s strategic vision.

Ensure Finance operates as an enabler of business performance, not solely as a control function.

F) Prepare executive reports and presentations for the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board, as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA)/ CFA/ MBA Finance.

Minimum 15 years of experience in the aviation industry; GCC experience is a plus.

Experience in Board and Investor reporting.

Proven financial leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

Excellent communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving.

Outstanding leadership skills in negotiation, consensus-building, and achieving results.

Proven experience in developing and structuring a Finance function during the launch or growth phase of an airline will be preferred.
