Job Description
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our organization’s financial resources, ensuring efficient cost management across all departments.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management for decision‑making.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Monitor and report on budget variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost‑saving initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records and documentation.
- Participate in forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
- Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on cost control procedures and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Diploma in a relevant field may be considered with extensive experience.
- Proven experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with financial management software and inventory systems, e.g., Future Log or Opera.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Outstanding organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and practices – preferred.
- Professional certification such as CMA or CIMA – preferred.
