Job Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our organization’s financial resources, ensuring efficient cost management across all departments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management for decision‑making.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records and documentation.
  • Participate in forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
  • Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on cost control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (a diploma may be considered with extensive experience).
  • Proven experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with financial management software and inventory systems (e.g., Futurelog, Opera).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Outstanding organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and practices (preferred).
  • Professional certification such as CMA or CIMA (preferred).
