JOB PURPOSEThe role will be responsible for carrying out activities laid out in ITFC’s credit administration policies & procedures, by processing transaction tickets, monitoring compliance and reporting unresolved issues. This includes credit limits/amendment tickets validation in the system at the level of maker, following-up pending issues with relevant departments/functions, monitoring credit utilization and preparing reports.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Check limit and amendment requests for selected credit operations, perform the first leg of limit setting/amendments in the system as required before the final decision is taken by the immediate / second line manager.
- Review financing agreements and security documentation for approved transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness for the purpose of execution and pinpoint any discrepancies to immediate line manager.
- Perform the first step of collateral creation and link them with relevant limits to control utilization of facilities.
- Remain on standby call to report to HQ in the absence of immediate line manager and act as the dual custodian / key-holder for safe custody activities to safely archive security documentation for facilities .
- Prepare data required for the periodic revaluation of collaterals and, if needed, highlight discrepancies.
- Monitor facilities on regular basis to ensure subsequent utilization is in adherence with the terms of approval. Liaise with Operations to ensure adherence and elevate concern areas to immediate line manager.
- Follow-up on pending/deficient documentation vis-à-vis credit operations/transactions with Trade Finance, Operations and other relevant functions to ensure timely resolution.
- Raise day-to-day system issues/bugs and follow-up for their resolution.
- Take note and report policy breaches to immediate line manager.
- Carry out record keeping and filing as required.
- Bachelors Degree in Trade, Banking or Economics;
- Master’s Degree with a specialization in Finance or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- English is compulsary
- Arabic and/or Franch is a plus
This position will be stationed in one of the Regional Hubs of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
