Saudi German Hospital – Jeddah is hiring a Quality Director to lead and strengthen our hospital-wide quality management and patient safety agenda. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building a high-reliability culture, improving outcomes and experience, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across clinical and non-clinical functions.
Key responsibilities- Lead the hospital’s quality, patient safety, and performance improvement strategy
, aligned with organizational goals and best practice. - Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) including policies, standards, audits, and continuous improvement governance.
- Drive hospital readiness and compliance for CBAHI and other applicable accreditation/regulatory requirements.
- Lead and monitor quality KPIs
, dashboards, scorecards, incident reporting, risk registers, and action tracking. - Establish robust Patient Safety programs (RCA, FMEA, safety rounds, event review committees, reporting culture).
- Partner with clinical leadership to improve clinical effectiveness (pathways, outcomes, mortality/morbidity reviews, infection prevention collaboration).
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA, and clinical audit programs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing quality team; build capability across departments through training and coaching.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Medical Affairs, Operations, Risk, and HR to embed quality and safety into daily practice.
- Healthcare-related degree (e.g., Nursing, Medicine, Allied Health, Healthcare Administration).
- 8–12+ years in hospital quality/patient safety, including leadership experience at a tertiary/acute care hospital.
- Strong working knowledge of CBAHI standards and hospital accreditation readiness (JCI experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated track record in driving measurable quality improvements (patient safety, outcomes, compliance, experience).
- Solid knowledge of risk management, incident reporting systems, clinical audits, and performance improvement frameworks.
