Job Summary

The Front Office Duty Manager is responsible for rooms’ inventory and ensuring that guests’ requests and preferences are met. They work in partnership with Housekeeping Rooms Controllers to ensure smooth running of rooms’ preparation and supervise the Front Desk.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all Front Office Service to ensure services are available and efficient.
  • Have knowledge of the operational systems at Front Office.
  • Oversee and direct all aspects of Front Office and Guest Services areas.
  • Be well versed with daily arrivals and types of guests (Return guest, Shangri-La Circle, VIP, etc.).
  • Have knowledge of Shangri-La’s programmes (Golden Circle, FFP, Guest History).
  • Build relationships with guests to delight and gain loyalty.
  • Supervise Front Office operation and workflow to maximise guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct training of new staff when necessary.
  • Ensure shift reports are printed and that Traces are followed up accordingly.
What We Are Looking For
  • At least 2 years as Assistant Front Office Manager in an international class hotel.
  • Takes ownership and initiative.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Communicates and writes fluently in English and Arabic.
  • Pleasant, friendly, and cheerful attitude.
