Registered Nurse

Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care that transforms lives through excellent evidence-based practices to patients in a clinical setting. The role includes assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The Registered Nurse works closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

• Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patient's health, including physical examinations, taking vital signs, and monitoring symptoms.
• Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans based on patient assessments and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Administers medications and treatments as physicians prescribe and monitors for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Provides care for wounds, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare professionals during medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Observes and records patients' conditions, including changes in symptoms or behaviors, and reports any significant changes to the medical team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate care as needed.
• Conducts purposeful rounding for patients to ensure their needs are met, prevent complications, and improve overall care quality.
• Adheres to strict infection control standards, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Participates in infection control surveillance and reporting to help prevent facility-acquired infection.
• Maintains the cleanliness of patient items and equipment as per Fakeeh Care policies.
• Follows established protocols for different emergencies (eg. codes and RRT), ensuring patient safety and effective response.
• Innovates in patient care and implements evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

• Maintains accurate and detailed patient care records, including observations, interventions, and responses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is continuous and integrated.

• Provides emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and offering reassurance during stressful times.
• Advocates for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring that their rights are respected, and their voices are heard.
• Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with medical practices and advancements.
• Respects diverse cultural backgrounds and incorporates patient values and beliefs into care planning.
• Oversees the work of junior staff and nursing students and provides guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
• Identifies and addresses issues or challenges in patient care and contributes to solutions and improvements in practice.
• Other duties as assigned by the nursing manager within the scope of the job.

• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all sensitive information accessed or encountered during work.

• Adhering to and upholding Fakeeh Care's code of conduct, policies and ethical standards.
• Completing mandatory education as required, at least one month prior to expiration.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and service oriented.
• Manages work pressure and works well in a team.
• Computer skills:
  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, typing and more.
• Clerical skills: preparing agenda and taking minutes of meetings, scanning documents, and more.

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• RN resident: staff with less than one year of experience will go through the RN residency program (Fakeeh Graduate).

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Excellent command of the English language and Arabic is a plus.

License from the country of origin, license for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (eg. SCFHS / DHA), BLS, ACLS and other LSTC courses as applicable.
