Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years in the same position as head nurse.
- Master’s or diploma in Management is preferable.
- Managerial skills are essential.
- Dataflow management experience is required.
- Saudi license holder is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain professional knowledge, clinical skills, and awareness; serve as a leadership model for staff.
- Provide documented evidence of performance and skills maintenance.
- Treat colleagues, patients, and visitors with dignity and respect at all times.
- Act as an advocate for patients and families.
- Identify areas for improving patient care quality and address issues negatively impacting patient outcomes.
- Manage resources effectively and forecast requirements for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare annual budgets and variance reports.
- Apply problem-solving techniques and evidence-based practices to unit issues; contribute to hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop unit performance plans and prepare quarterly reports.
- Maintain records of activities and outcomes.
- Conduct unit meetings and record minutes.
- Plan and evaluate patient education programs.
- Participate in organizational projects and committees.
- Lead multidisciplinary partnerships to achieve unit and department goals.
- Contribute to Nursing Affairs objectives through continuous improvement.
- Embrace innovative ways of working and lead change management processes.
- Promote a culture of critical thinking and quality improvement within the clinical environment.
- Create a participative environment for staff in quality improvement activities.
- Ensure cohesive work among nursing and support staff and achieve objectives.
- Facilitate orientation and ongoing performance appraisals for staff.
- Provide feedback, counsel, and support staff recruitment and retention efforts.
