The Staff Nurse , provides professional nursing care in accordance with the mission, vision and values of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.

Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the nurse assesses patients, plans and delivers appropriate nursing care, monitors clinical progress and responds effectively to changes in patients’ conditions.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• The nursing degree must have been completed through classroom-based study. Online or distance-learning nursing degrees are not accepted.
• Must meet Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification and registration requirements for Nurse Specialist.

• Minimum two years of current, full-time clinical experience following completion of the nursing qualification.
• Current experience must be in an acute-care hospital.
• Current clinical experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• Current nursing experience must be from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.

• Current and good-standing Registered Nurse license or registration permitting practice in the candidate’s country of residence.
• Must hold current professional nursing license from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.

• Assess patients before, during and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures according to established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm and patient condition throughout procedures and recovery.
• Administer medications, including prescribed sedation and other treatments, safely and according to approved policies and procedures.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patients for complications and respond promptly to changes in their clinical condition.
• Provide appropriate post-procedure nursing care, including monitoring access sites and assessing for bleeding or other complications.
• Work collaboratively with cardiologists, physicians, technicians and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including procedure-related documentation.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families, providing information and support before and after procedures.
• Apply infection-prevention, patient-safety and quality-care standards within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development and departmental quality-improvement activities.
