The Waiter position in Shangri‑La Jeddah goes beyond the regular duties of greeting and serving guests; it is about dazzling and delighting guests by creating a memorable dining experience in the Food & Beverage outlet while living the Shangri‑La Standards.
Responsibilities- Have a strong understanding of the menu and the way each dish is prepared.
- Suggest menu selections to guests.
- Take orders and serve with great love and affection.
- Obsess over delighting guests and create wow moments.
- Get the restaurant ready before service.
- Seamlessly coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely service to the guest.
- Ensure billing is done appropriately and posted accordingly.
- Follow the Shangri‑La Food Safety Processes and Procedures.
- Assist fellow colleagues in the success of the F&B outlet.
- Assist the supervisor in ensuring smooth meal operations.
- Great conversational skills for engaging with guests.
- Strong English skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a waiter in 5‑star hotels.
