This Position reports to:

Role context

The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers, working at the heart of industrial digital transformation. The Division's portfolio includes analyzers measuring compositions of gases and liquids; instrumentation measuring process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level; force measurement solutions measuring parameters such as flatness, thickness, and tension; and advanced digital solutions for device management, device health check and predictive maintenance.

It serves key industries such as oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, power, hydrogen, batteries, and the marine industry. The Division enables the optimization of industrial processes by providing and analyzing data from sensing and smart measurement devices. Parameters such as emission levels and production inputs are measured to enable efficient operations and environmental sustainability through measurement.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving revenue growth and market share for ABB Instrumentation in Saudi Arabia, with Jeddah as home base and a strong focus on the Western Region. Builds customer relationships, develops new business, and increases ABB awareness and preference among end users, EPCs, and partners.
  • Own and grow sales for ABB Instrumentation in Saudi Arabia, prioritizing the Western Region from a Jeddah base.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities (including cold calling, lead follow-up, networking, and referrals).
  • Plan and execute frequent customer visits (end users, EPCs, system integrators, distributors) and build long-term relationships at multiple levels.
  • Increase ABB awareness in the Western Region through market visits, customer presentations, lunch & learns, events, and coordination with marketing/brand initiatives.
  • Identify project opportunities, influence specifications, and position ABB solutions early in the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present quotations/proposals in coordination with engineering/estimating, including pricing strategy and margin management.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with ABB guidelines and ensure accurate, timely order intake.
  • Manage the sales pipeline in CRM, including forecasting, monthly reporting, and activity tracking.
  • Monitor market and competitor developments and translate insights into account plans and sales actions.
  • Work closely with product management, service, project teams, and operations to meet customer expectations (quality, lead time, aftersales).
  • Ensure full compliance (ethics, trade compliance, ABB sales processes) in all customer interactions.
  • Language & customer environment:
    Acts as the primary regional point of contact and communicates fluently in Arabic (required) and professionally in English (strongly preferred).

Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics) or Business/Commercial discipline (technical background strongly preferred).
  • Relevant sales training (value-based selling, negotiation) is a plus.
  • Experience
    :
    1) 3-7+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial markets; experience in instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analyzers) preferred.
    2) Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets and building a healthy pipeline.
    3) Experience selling to end users (e.g., oil & gas, chemicals, power, water), EPCs, system integrators and/or distributors in Saudi Arabia.
    4) Experience with project sales and specification-influencing is a strong advantage.
    5) Familiarity with the Western Region market (Jeddah / Makkah / Madinah / Yanbu / Rabigh) is preferred.
  • Skills & competencies
    :
    Strong prospecting capability (incl. cold calling) and consultative selling mindset. Ability to build relationships at multiple levels (technical, procurement, management). Strong negotiation, closing, and stakeholder management skills. Commercial acumen: pricing discipline, margin focus, contract basics. Structured working style and solid CRM hygiene (Salesforce or similar). Strong presentation skills; comfortable running customer demos/technical discussions with support. High ownership, self-driven, able to work independently from a home base.
