Position Overview
The Sales Engineer (SE) for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will serve as the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre‑sales customers. As a Trend Micro product expert, the SE guides customers and prospects in the selection and deployment of Trend Micro Next‑Gen security solutions, taking joint ownership with the Sales team in developing customer relationships, providing leadership in security architecture, and influencing the customer’s technical strategy.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Understand the customer journey with the product, helping them navigate smoothly through each stage.
- Obsess over Customer Success throughout engagement, onboarding, and product experience.
- Act as a strong pillar for building and training the sales organization.
- Be an effective storyteller to help the sales team sell more effectively.
- Understand the emerging ecosystem of cyber security partners such as SOC services partners, CSPs, MSSPs, and more.
- Leverage channel partners by upscaling and training them for customer engagement.
- Conduct routine updates on new products and technology for internal sales staff.
- Collaborate with Regional / Global Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager to obtain the latest product/technology knowledge.
- Confidently deliver engaging technical demonstrations highlighting Trend Micro product advantages and benefits through solid messaging, presentation skills, and public speaking.
- Encourage and empower partners and channel to propose, position, and convince customers with our products and solutions.
- Present complex technical issues and solutions to all levels of an organization in a meaningful, engaging, and digestible manner.
- Apply strong problem‑solving skills to design solutions that resolve customer problems.
- Develop close relationships to influence the customer’s technical strategy.
- Deliver training to customers and prospects about Trend Micro solutions.
- Work with technical support personnel to ensure ongoing quality of support and customer health.
- Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation for increased efficiencies.
- Pursue continuous self‑improvement and learning to maintain current technical knowledge and participate in technical communities of interest.
- Actively participate in webinars, workshops, and other industry events as a speaker or panelist.
- Minimum 3 years of rich experience in delivering highest quality pre‑sales support and solutions, adding unique value for customers.
- Strong understanding of SOC operations, security analytics capabilities, cloud architecture, cloud native application security, SASE, CASB, and Zero‑Trust model.
- Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google, AWS services is a plus.
- Exposure to security software solutions such as firewall, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, data protection, and monitoring security.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Strong interest in all aspects of cybersecurity and a passion for customer security.
- Excellent understanding of public cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
- Very good public speaking skills are an advantage.
