Purpose of Job
Carry out the mechanical maintenance and repair of all vehicles, cooling units and the location facilities according to the work schedule, procedures and work instructions so as to keep the vehicles operational and maintenance up to standards.
Key Accountabilities Daily inspection- Conduct routine daily inspection before the vehicles leave the depot with regard to oil levels, water levels, tire condition/pressure and the cooling units proper functioning so as to prevent vehicle from a potential breakdown on the road.
- Carry out all mechanical and basic electrical vehicle repairs in case of breakdown or after inspection in line with checklists and work instructions in order to keep the vehicle operational.
- Carry out the planned inspections and mechanical maintenance services for all the vehicles according to the work scheduling and service sheets.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs on the facilities on request of the Supervisor.
- Fill up the job cards and maintenance reports about work done and return to Supervisor.
