Overview
An FM (Facilities Management) Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and security of a building or facility. They ensure that all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) function optimally, health and safety standards are strictly met, and occupant requests are addressed quickly.
Your role- Providing first response, interacting with the school representative on a daily basis.
- Record building's Cooling Temperature level and Hot water Temperature level on a daily basis.
- Operate and monitor the BMS system on a daily basis. Report any abnormal readings or issues.
- Daily monitoring of Fire Alarm systems, Firefighting systems, HVAC systems, Electrical systems, Plumbing systems, Low current systems, Building & Fabric, Sports field equipment and associated system equipment.
- Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
- Promptly respond to emergencies.
- Coordinate with building representative to raise complaints through CAFM system and ensure the problem is solved on time.
- Record electrical and water consumption on a daily or hourly basis as per Management requirement.
- Daily monitoring of the level of the domestic water tank and septic water tank.
- Report low domestic water tank level to line manager and coordinate with water supply service provider to arrange refilling water.
- Report high septic water tank level to line manager and coordinate with septic water tank disposal service provider to arrange emptying.
- Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
- Perform light reactive maintenance and predictive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
- Site inspection & condition survey, cleaning inspection done on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with safety team for monthly fire drill and provide report to line manager.
- Arrange sound systems, master clock system, air conditioning schedule for events at MPH and main buildings.
- Follow up with reactive team to close activities on time.
- Education:
A diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. - Technical
Skills:
Working knowledge of general maintenance methods, building automation systems, and facility management software. - Soft Skills:
Strong multitasking, problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to react quickly during facility emergencies. - Language Proficiency:
English (Arabic preferred).
