Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Service Technician reports to the Shift Leader and will perform maintenance duties and reactive calls to the Material Handling System at the Jeddah site to ensure productivity, equipment availability, health & safety compliance, and quality of service.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems using diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Exercise safe working practice at all times and comply with Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures.
• Prepare and execute service calls, emergency maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and follow up on corrective maintenance work orders.
• Report service calls and advise and execute optimization of (sub) systems in consultation with the supervisor.
• Develop service supporting tools and means.
• Un‑jam conveyors and handle errors in the system.
• Attend to manual encoding stations and load correction zones.
• Complete CMMS service reports, parts usage, and warranty records.
• Research and request spare parts as required and perform inventory counts.
• Work fully independently on site on preventive maintenance work.
• Identify problems in planning and tooling and provide input for improvements.
• Assist other service technicians in correcting faults and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
• Maintain the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electromechanical.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electro‑mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of material handling experience (preferable).
• Minimum 1 year of CMMS experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of control systems (PLC, PC).

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Fully competent and versed in operations and maintenance.
• Flexibility with time and ability to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs.
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer and service oriented with a proactive work ethic and initiative.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Pro‑active attitude towards process improvement.
• Working knowledge of computers and relevant equipment.
