Preventive Maintenance PM
Execute scheduled PM on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers centrifugal screw and or absorption as applicable per OEM manuals and PM calendar
Perform oil analysis refrigerant level checks vibration checks and eddy current tube testing ECT scheduling coordination
Maintain PM checklists update CMMS records and close out work orders with accurate readings
Diagnose and rectify chiller faults compressor refrigerant circuit electrical control panel oil system with minimal downtime
Respond to breakdown calls alarms perform root cause analysis RCA and implement corrective preventive actions
Coordinate spare parts requisition and manage critical spares inventory for chillers
Liaise with OEM service engineers for warranty repairs or complex faults
Plan and execute major minor overhauls of chillers compressor rebuild motor rewind coordination tube bundle cleaning retubing gasket seal replacement Prepare overhaul scope of work spares list and job cards supervise contractor OEM teams during overhaul
Conduct pre- and post-overhaul performance testing capacity kW ton approach temperature and vibration leak testing
Ensure proper isolation LOTO refrigerant recovery reclaim and safe disposal per environmental regulationscommissioning of chillers
Prepare daily shift logs PM CM completion reports overhaul reports and downtime failure analysis reports
Maintain chiller performance trending COP approach kW ton and highlight deviations to management
Update asset history cards CMMS and prepare monthly maintenance KPI reports
Document lessons learned and update SOPs PM procedures as needed
Supervise a team of technicians helpers assign daily tasks and monitor job completion against schedule
Conduct toolbox talks enforce HSE PTW compliance confined space working at height LOTO refrigerant handling Train and mentor junior technicians on chiller systems and safe work practices
Coordinate with shift supervisors operations engineers on plant load requirements and maintenance windows
Ensure tools PPE and spare parts availability for the team manage attendance and performance of crew
- Diploma / ITI / Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (HVAC-R), or equivalent
- Chiller OEM training certificates (e.g., Carrier, York, Trane, Daikin, Hitachi) preferred
- Refrigerant handling certification (F-Gas or equivalent);
Saudi Aramco/vendor safety certifications a plus
- 5–8+ years' hands‑on experience on centrifugal/screw chillers (water & air cooled) in district cooling, HVAC, or industrial utility plants
- Proven experience in PM, CM, and full overhaul of large‑tonnage chillers (500 RT and above preferred)
- Prior experience in GCC district cooling projects (e.g., Tabreed, Empower, Marafeq) is an advantage
- Experience supervising a maintenance crew of 3–10 technicians
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle, compressor types (centrifugal/screw/scroll), controls (Micro/Pro‑Vision, UCP, etc.), and BMS integration
- Skilled in vibration analysis, oil/refrigerant sampling, eddy current testing coordination, and rigging for overhauls
- Working knowledge of electrical/control panels, VFDs, and instrumentation troubleshooting
- Proficient with CMMS (Maximo, SAP PM, or similar) and MS Office for reporting
- Strong leadership and team management ability; effective communicator in English (Arabic a plus)
- Good analytical/RCA skills and ability to work under pressure during breakdowns
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, be on‑call, and respond to emergency calls
- Valid Saudi driving license preferred; transferable Iqama (if applicable)
- Sound HSE awareness — confined space, LOTO, working at height, PTW system
