Why You’ll Love This Position

The Section for Compliance and Enforcement (SCE) Administrative Supervisor provides overall administrative office support to SCE and the Bureaus within. This is first-level supervisor responsible for the outcomes of the lead administrative support assistants (LASAs) assigned to SCE. The successful candidate will be a part of a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with many competing priorities. The SCE Administrative Supervisor assists the Section with administrative coordination and tasks related to organization to ensure that the Section is operating smoothly, which is integral for the Section to maintain standard efficient services on behalf of cannabis compliance and enforcement for the state of Missouri.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

  • Supervise 2 LASAs. Overseeing and coordinating the work of staff doing a limited range of general activities in direct support of agency programs or operations.
  • Coordinate scheduling, arrange travel, meetings and conferences calls and takes accurate minutes.
  • Track SCE administrative tasks to ensure staff are completing tasks within the prescribed time frames, such as timesheets, expense accounts, onboarding, monthly engages, required trainings, evaluations, vehicle tracking and making travel arrangements, constituent responses, etc.
  • Maintain records and process invoices relating to Section vehicles, vehicle maintenance, and cell phones.
  • Assist with procuring office supplies and equipment and ensuring proper set up of equipment for new staff.
  • Assist with staff training and meeting preparation including reserving conference space, scheduling catering, and setup and take down of the conference space.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, word processing, operating general office equipment, compiling and preparing spreadsheets, reports, power point presentations, record requests, etc.
  • Responsible for SCE administrative file management, file room organization, maintaining recordings, and file cleanup.
  • Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed)
  • Ability to work independently on clerical functions in accordance with Department and Section policies and procedures.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Sharepoint, and Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possesses a positive attitude, maintain confidentiality, initiative, and problem solving skills.
