Why You’ll Love This PositionYou’ll play a key role in supporting public health and safety by providing essential clerical assistance that helps ensure Emergency Medical Services (EMS) licensing, data management, and communication processes run smoothly and accurately. This position offers meaningful, consistent work and the satisfaction of directly contributing to the efficiency, compliance, and mission of the Missouri Bureau of EMS.
- Serve as the first point of contact by responding to phone calls and directing EMS licensing and re-licensing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with personnel licensing by reviewing documentation, entering data, tracking application status, and maintaining accurate records in the EMS license management system.
- Perform data entry and updates related to inspections, licensure, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Organize, maintain, and archive regulatory documents, correspondence, and meeting records to ensure accuracy and accesibility.
- Prepare and distribute official communications, notifications, and reminders to EMS stakeholders across Missouri.
- Support efficient program operations by helping manage high volumes of public inquiries and administrative tasks, allowing specialized staff to focus on technical and strategic responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to enter data accurately and use standard office software and systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally by phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Ability to manage routine administrative tasks and handle a steady volume of inquiries in a professional manner.
- Ability to learn and follow established procedures related to licensing, data entry, and record maintenance.
