The Division of Legal Services (DLS) is looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to join our team in the Administrative Hearings Section, located in Jefferson City, MO.
Semi-monthly salary

The current rate for this position is $1,607.80
. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Annual salary

Join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to empowering Missourians to live safe, healthy and productive lives. DLS provides comprehensive legal support to all program and support divisions in the Department of Social Services (DSS).
- Maintain, with relative independence, a significant phase or segment of a clerical process or office activity and makes frequent decisions in accordance with agency policies, rules, or procedures.
- Type and edit a variety of material, which may contain technical or specialized terminology.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Compose correspondence including some interpretation and application of established policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain complex filing systems; prepare and/or oversee the preparation of records for storage and/or archiving; and maintain correspondence and report files.
- Prepare and/or oversee the processing of supply requisitions, expense accounts, and/or other program or agency documents; maintain cost and/or inventory records.
- Maintain calendars and schedules; coordinate meeting logistics; and arrange travel and accommodations.
- Perform, review, and verify complex computations involving the application of rules and regulations. Enters, updates, and/or retrieves information; develops spreadsheets and databases.
- Carry out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence and makes decisions concerning work procedures and processes.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the processes and procedures applicable to assigned area.
Skill in the operation of office equipment. Ability to organize work assignments. Ability to provide guidance to other employees.
This is a second-level administrative support position that performs a variety of clerical, printing, and mail related tasks in support of a work unit. Employees at this level are required to have a knowledge of the procedures and processes applicable to the performance of the work and to organize their work on a daily or weekly basis by exercising independence and judgment that is greater than lower level positions
