Construction Superintendent - Jefferson , MO

Overview

McBride Homes is the largest home builder in Missouri and the 33rd largest privately‑owned builder in the United States. We are building a new location in Jefferson City and need a Superintendent to manage our production sites. The role involves daily interaction with homeowners, trade partners, and corporate staff, using our ERP system MiTek Kova (Sapphire) to oversee schedules, blueprints, options, and purchase orders.

• Schedule, supervise, and manage the work of multiple trades across several jobs at a time.
• Communicate daily with corporate office staff, vendors, field staff, and sales teams, providing status updates, answering questions, and managing expectations.
• Identify and report material shortages and labor cost variances for each job.
• Make daily site visits to all homes, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are upheld.
• Troubleshoot issues and complaints as they arise.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil or structural engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of leadership experience in residential new‑home construction.
• Comfortable using technology, embracing change, and understanding the efficiency of digital tools.
• Proficient with MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to use construction software to manage all aspects of a project.
• Excellent time‑management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Current knowledge of building practices, codes, and requirements.
• Professional, enthusiastic demeanor.
• Minimal travel required; owns or leases a truck and holds a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and insurance coverage.
