DescriptionConcrete Saw Foreman Capital Paving and Construction is looking for a Concrete Saw Foreman who is responsible for leading and supervising field crews performing concrete sawing, core drilling, bridge deck removal, pavement removal, expansion joint cutting, utility trench cutting, and specialty demolition activities on highway, bridge, and heavy civil construction projects. This position plans daily operations, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinates equipment and manpower, and serves as the primary field contact for project management and construction teams.
The Concrete Sawing Foreman is expected to lead by example, maintain a strong safety culture, maximize productivity, and ensure all work is completed according to project specifications, MoDOT requirements, and customer expectations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct concrete sawing, drilling, and demolition crews on highway and bridge construction projects.
- Plan daily work activities and assign personnel, equipment, and resources.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, pre-task planning, and jobsite briefings.
- Train, coach, and mentor operators and laborers on proper cutting and demolition techniques.
- Monitor crew productivity and quality of work.
- Coordinate activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, Survey Crews, Traffic Control personnel, and other subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete cutting, core drilling, concrete demolition, or heavy civil construction.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
- Knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods and operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project layouts.
- Strong knowledge of concrete sawing equipment and techniques.
- Understanding of OSHA construction safety requirements.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Ability to climb, kneel, bend, crouch, and work on uneven terrain.
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, active traffic, bridge structures, and excavation operations.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required by project schedules.
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout Missouri and surrounding states.
