Member Services Representative

Job Location: This position will be located at 832 Weathered Rock Ct. Jefferson City, MO 65101.

The individual in this classification functions as a customer service representative in the performance of technical and paraprofessional work in the dissemination of information regarding the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan. This is a call center position.

• Assist walk-in members with questions, problems, or concerns.
• Assist walk-in members making a premium payment.
• Respond to all questions accurately and promptly, both verbally and in writing, in a respectful and courteous manner. Explain benefit information, eligibility and enrollment guidelines, address changes, and various other questions.
• Establish and maintain a professional rapport with members.
• Transfer callers to appropriate MCHCP department as necessary.
• Work in conjunction with other MCHCP departments to resolve members’ issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed telephone logs.
• Responsible for returned mail and follow up processes.
• Responsible for working and managing reports/projects assigned by Member Services Supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year customer service experience or one year of higher education.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Excellent attendance record.
