Ice Arena Attendants

The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for Ice Arena Attendants for our Parks and Recreation Department. These positions work at the Washington Park Ice Arena.

Ice Arena Attendants are responsible for collection of fees for the admission and concession counters; public relations; supervision of patrons and rules enforcement; care and maintenance of rental skates; facility cleanliness and custodial duties in and around the facility; preparation and sale of concessions items; rink guarding during public sessions; and other duties as assigned.

Must be at least 16 years of age.

First Aid and CPR certification preferred but not required; no experience needed.

Prefer previous money handling experience, experience operating a computer and electronic cash register and concession experience.

Ability to deal with the public in a cordial, cooperative, and friendly manner; ability to consistently and equitably enforce facility rules and regulations. Skating skill is not a requirement to be hired but must be acquired within the first month of employment.

The minimum starting salary for a Ice Arena Attendant is $15.00 per hour. Approximately 10 - 20 hours per week; main hours will be weekday evenings, and weekends.
